The Improved Coordination of International Climate Finance (ICICF) project organised a training titled ‘Mobilising Climate Finance in Bangladesh: Concepts, Strategies, and Implications’ from 14 to 22 May 2023. Twenty-five participants from Economic Relations Division (ERD), Bangladesh Bank, Bangladesh Security and Exchange Commission, Palli Karma Sahayak Foundation (PKSF), Infrastructure Development Company Limited (IDCOL), Water Aid, Center for Participatory Research and Development, Bangladesh Institute of Capital Market and University of Dhaka joined the course.

A team of experts from the Frankfurt School of Finance and Management covered different areas of climate adaptation finance such as international policies, Global Shield, international negotiation skills, roadmap to sustainability etc in the training. Issues related to policymaking and monitoring on the part of the Bangladesh government were also part of the training course.
Mr. A K M Sohel, Joint Secretary and Wing Chief of UN Wing, Economic Relations Division (ERD) joined the closing session as Chief Guest.
